EUS Guided Gastrojejunostomy
"Gastric outlet obstruction" is a condition in which patients can develop blockage of the stomach or small intestine. This can occur from underlying cancer of the small intestine, pancreas or stomach. Treatment involves placement of a metal stent across the area of blockage termed as "duodenal or enteral stent" or surgery to create a connection between stomach and the small intestine below the area of "blockage" called "surgical gastrojejunostomy".
Such patients can alternatively, undergo a procedure termed as “EUS guided gastrojejunostomy” to create a connection between stomach and small intestine.
